After Pirch is installed on your computer, do the following to setup your Pirch connection into the chatrooms.

PIRCH SETUP

When you open the program, click on "Login" in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.

On the next screen, the following information should be filled in by you:
IRC NETWORK: GalaxyNet
SERVER: irc.cybertrails.com:6667  (or pick any choice from dropdown list)
PASSWORD: (type in a password of your choice)

Under "Personal Info", type in the following:
NAME: Pirch (or your real name)
USERNAME: Pirch@pirchat.com (or your real email address)

In the bottom left-hand corner, type in the nickname and alternate nickname you wish to use
in the chatroom.

Under "Initial User Modes", check "Invisible on Server".

In the lower right-hand corner, check "Auto Connect".

Then, on the right side, click on "Save Profile".
That will prevent you from having to do this the next time.

Next, on the right-hand side, click on "Connect". This will take you to the server.

Next, at the top of the screen, you will see "Favorites"… click on that.

A pop-up box will appear showing some folders on various topics.
At the top of the box is a row of "boxes". Click on the first one… "Add Group".

Another pop-up box will appear for you to type in the name of a new folder… perhaps "Spiritual".
After typing this in, hit the "Enter" key and the new folder will be created.

While this new folder name is highlighted, click on the "Add Channel" box at the top.

Next, type in the name of the chatroom, i.e., #ashtar or #sanandaseagles.
That will permanently save the connection to these chatrooms.

ENTERING THE CHATROOM AFTER SETUP:

When it's time to enter the chatroom, open Pirch and do the following:
1. Click on "Connect".
2. Click on "Favorites" at the top.
3. Click on the name of the new group folder you created, e.g., "Spiritual".
4. Click on the name of the chatroom you want to enter, i.e., #ashtar or #sanandaseagles,
and hit the "Enter" key. This will take you directly to the chatroom.

At first, you will be shown as "Guest", followed by a number.
In the space at the bottom of the screen, type in the following:
/nick [followed by the name you first registered as your nickname] Then hit the "Enter" key.
This will change the "Guest" designation on the screen to your chosen nickname.

You may then type your message in the space at the bottom, hit the "Enter" key,
and your message will be displayed on the screen for everyone to read.
