After mIRC is installed on your computer, do the following to set up your mIRC connection into the chatrooms:

mIRC SETUP

When you first open mIRC, it gives you a screen that has a long box at the top.
If you scroll down, you can see all the chatroom servers.
Our chatroom is on irc.webmaster.com (you can also use irc.webchat.com).
If it's not in the list of servers, you can type it in and click on "Add".

In the spaces below...
Type in your name, your email address and the nickname you wish to use in the chatroom.
They will stay there, so you only have to do it the first time.

Then click on "Connect to irc server".

You should then get a box called "mIRC Channels Folders".
In the space, type in #ashtar (or #sanandaseagles).
Then click on "Add".
This will keep you from having to ever type it in again.

Then click on "Join".
(The next time you go into the chat room, #ashtar (or #sanandaseagles) will be there on your screen;
all you have to do is highlight it and then click on "Join").

If you ever get a pop-up box asking for a password, ignore it, as you don't need one.
Just type in the nickname you want to use in the chatroom and hit the "Enter" key.

You'll then get the chat screen; your cursor will be blinking down at the bottom...
in the long blank space... and you'll be ready to type in what you want.
Then hit the "Enter" key and it will appear up on the screen.
